Pulmonary Sequestration


General: Consist of pulmonary parenchyma not connected to the tracheo-bronchial tree and not usually supplied by the pulmonary artery but by a systemic vessel (~75% by a branch of the thoracic or abdominal aorta). Usually (~80%) drain into a systemic vein rather than a pulmonary vein.
